The Captive's Voice
Obtain Chains of Shadows from Valdris in the Twisted Haunt and read it; return to Lyra in Alaenanore. An existing recorded reading also satisfies this step.
{EPICREQUIREMENTS}
Chains of Shadows survives among Valdris's spoils in the Twisted Haunt. Take capable allies if you must confront him, then read the book rather than merely securing it. His account speaks of a voice taken away and a person remade into another's weapon. We cannot repair that history with a flattering verse. We can refuse to replace his testimony with our own convenient invention. When you have listened, we shall return our attention to people who can still answer us.

The Captive's Voice
You heard the captive as well as the shadowknight. Neither cancels the other. Leave that truth intact. Now help Dana prepare a richer table for living travelers; remembrance must not become an excuse to neglect those beside us.
