The Verse Beneath the Jest

Recommended Level 38 The Verse Beneath the Jest Read Echoes of the Underdeep, assembled from Trolls Cave notes, then speak with Dana in Milldenn. A previously recorded reading counts. {EPICREQUIREMENTS} Find the four accounts from Trolls Cave and merge them into Echoes of the Underdeep. Then read the finished book; carrying its pages tells me nothing. It describes cunning passages, a society, and the power of Grimlok and Zulkaz. None of that makes the cave harmless. It makes a lazy caricature dishonest. Our song must distinguish understanding from approval, or the empty chair at its heart will become just another prop for the loudest voice. The Verse Beneath the Jest You have read beyond the joke. Good. We can name a danger without pretending it has no history. The next verse concerns hunger, and I would rather begin that conversation with a real meal than a clever metaphor. REWARDS 30,000 Experience
