How It Works

Carry a Fishing Rod.

If you carry multiple rods, the game uses the highest-quality Fishing Rod in your inventory.

Click a Fishing Spot.

The map currently has 23 Fishing Spot locations across 4 tiers, from Tier I to Tier IV.

Click inside the timing window.

After the 3–7 second cast delay, the click window lasts 2.0 / 1.5 / 1.0 / 0.75 seconds by tier.

Roll for a bite.

Bite chance is based on Fishing skill and spot tier.

Roll for your catch.

The game first rolls one primary fish from the spot. If that roll fails, higher-tier spots can instead catch a random fish from the fallback fish pools. Tier II spots can catch Tier I fish, Tier III spots can catch Tier I–II fish, and Tier IV spots can catch Tier I–III fish.

Failed catch rolls that do not become fish are either a trash catch or an escaped fish.

Gain XP and possibly mastery.

Successful bites grant XP by tier and can raise Fishing mastery up to the tier cap.
