Trolls are violent and evil race who long served as the enemies of the men of the Lone-lands. There is a common misconception of trolls as lumbering, simple brutes, but they are in truth very clever, capable of traps and tactics that makes their territory extraordinarily dangerous even for the wary. They are even capable of understanding and using magic, with their shamans capable of spirit magic that walks the line between dark and light. These caves within the Lone-lands are the center of their society, serving as both of refuge to their kind and a trap for those who would dare pursue them. Its maze-like structure disorients the intruders while its inhabitants take hidden paths to flank them from all sides. The trolls are known to strip all the valuables from their victims, and there are rumors of a great treasure room deep within these caves where centuries worth of plundered wealth lays in a vast horde.
